tarent: Company History
Company History
1996, Bonn on the Rhine. This is where the history of tarent begins. We started with just a few employees and focused on our core competences of development and consulting from the beginning. In 1998, our first project arose according to the V-Model; the first solution on the basis of Linux followed a year later. We thus found the direction of our development and continued to profile ourselves as suppliers of platform-independent, highly technological, and pragmatic IT solutions.
Soon we were able to manufacture our first free software under the GPL license. In the process, we continued to expand our consulting focuses and added software architectures and IT framework concepts to our repertoire.
We did not have to wait long for success. In 2004, we received the Innovation Prize of the Mittelstandsforum for our product, tarent-contact. We were delighted!
Since then, we have undergone steady and fresh growth, and we enjoy expanding our horizons. For example, with our new offices in Berlin. Or with jalimo, our new platform for Java applications on mobile terminal devices, which was launched in 2007.
We are eager to see what happens and we have a lot planned!
